Una entrevista en inglés pone nerviosa a cualquier persona. La clave está en preparar las preguntas que casi siempre aparecen y practicar respuestas cortas, claras y con ejemplos concretos.
“Tell me about yourself.”
No cuentes tu vida entera. Usa una estructura de presente, pasado y futuro:
“I’m a sales analyst with three years of experience in retail. In my current role, I analyze weekly sales and present reports to the management team. I’m now looking for a position where I can grow into a leadership role.”
“What are your strengths?”
Menciona una o dos fortalezas y respáldalas con un ejemplo: “I’m very organized. For example, I created a tracking system that reduced late deliveries by half.”
“What is your biggest weakness?”
Elige algo real que estés mejorando: “I used to find public speaking difficult, so I joined a presentation workshop and now I present every month.”
“Why do you want to work here?”
Demuestra que investigaste la empresa: “I admire how your company focuses on customer experience, and I’d like to contribute with my background in service.”
“Do you have any questions for us?”
Nunca respondas “no”. Algunas buenas preguntas:
- What does a typical day look like in this role?
- How do you measure success in this position?
- What are the next steps in the process?
Frases útiles para ganar tiempo
